Principal Objective
Under the supervision of the Programs Director, the Associate Tennis Pro will support building and strengthening the Center’s ability to deliver the best value of tennis for a family-oriented swim, fitness, and tennis community. The Associate Tennis Pro will assist the Tennis program by holding a standard of service excellence and continually strive for personal spiritual growth.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan, provide, and coach private and group lessons/clinics relating to techniques and strategies of tennis to adult and youth members and guests
- Represent the Center in a professional manner both on and off the court
- Participate in adult mixers and events and staff meetings as required
- Assist in organizing, administering, and officiating at tournaments, exhibitions and inter- and intra-club social events
- Administer and enforce Center tennis policies and procedures regarding play on Center courts
- Provide input for maintenance, repair and cleaning of courts with grounds and maintenance departments
- Ensure that all Center members and guests receive courteous, prompt and professional attention to their tennis needs
- Market PCC Tennis program to members and guests
- Maintain a close working relationship with other Center professionals
- Maintain an accurate record of all lessons and clinics given; provides written reports on a regular basis

Requirements and Qualifications
Required:
- Equivalent to BA/BS degree; minimum of 2-4 years experience serving as a tennis program team member
- Minimum of USPTA Pro 1 rating or PTA certification, 4.0+ playing ability
- Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Peninsula Community Center
- Desire to work in a family-oriented organization
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passionate about personal fitness and using sports to build communities that love God and love others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, and Google docs
- College degree
Salary & Benefits
- Pay is Commission based.
- Based on hours worked and members served, we offer a complimentary Peninsula Community Center individual membership.
Hours
Approx. 2 - 10 hours per week depending on member appointments and demand.
Compensación: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
